H R O N O S
The idea behind Chronos bagan several
years ago. I realized there seemed to be no new
heroes. The same heroes which we've had for the past 50 years
are still the around. These heroes were never seriously
challenged, and always managed to come out on top, even though they
never did anything intelligent. The outcome was always
predictable, the "good" guys were easily distinguishable from the "bad"
guys. It struck me that we needed a change.
The next step seemed easy, fix the
problem. However, I soon found out this was nearly
impossible. The exisitng companies of the comic and fantasy
genres were simply not interested in hearing another view.
They have their own writers and artists, and a tight bidget
which prevented them from fielding ideas from outside sources.
They are, in a sense, trapped by their own structures.
It was at this time I decided to form
the World of Chronos. Unlike other companies, we don't have a
huge staff on hand. We believe we've advanced farther than
the typical company structures which currently dominate the industry.
In our company, we want YOU to be our authors and artists.
It's a way for the "common man", the mere peasant, to get
into the biz. This is our world, and we will mold it as we
see fit. For this company to be successful, we need YOU.
Want to help? Simply contact
us and give us your best stuff. Unlike all the other
companies out there, you retain all the rights to your work.
Think of this as an audition, of sorts. We're
looking for your best work, art and stories. We'll read and
look at everything sent to us, as well as respond with feedback.
It's our hope to work with you, even if it might take some
coaching to get you there. We want you to succeed, because
that'll mean we'll succeed; think of it as an unoficial partnership.
We'll setup your stories and have our comunity help jduge us.
Once it's deemed good enough to publish, we'll turn your
story into an actual book, and you'll be an actual writer!
From there you'll continue your storyline and you'll become
an active member of our team.
Not only do we need writers, but also
artists. We'll be publishing yearly calenders, bookmarks, and
all our books (novels and shorts) will need 10 - 20 pics per book, as
well as our online comic lines. Simply put, if we believe
your art can sell, we'll find a way to market it.
If you can't write or draw, don't
worry, we also need idea people. Develop a general storyline,
complete with heroes / villains and a general plot. Again, if
we think the idea has legs, we'll run with it. Utilizing an
idea means you'll join the team, directing the storyline as it unfolds.
All of these ways to join the team
means you will get paid for the work you do. Structured
payments will be discussed upon acceptance. The important
thing to remember is that you keep the rights to your stroies, artwork,
or ideas. Unlike other companies, when you submit your work
to us, we feel it shoulf remain your work. If we like it
enough to take a risk on publishing it, than you're good enough to get
paid for it.
Interested? Then get off your
butt and get us your best stuff. If possible, contact us and
give us a location where we can view some of your work. If
that's not an option, Email us some examples of your work.
Send us your BEST stuff. When Emailing, send us no
more than 3 images or 1 chapter at a time (don't want to get the system
bogged down). Feel free to contact us as many times as you'd
like, but give us a week or so to get back to you (we can get very busy
from time to time). Remember, come back to this page often to
view more stories and pictures to critique. Our Email
address is [email protected]
Excellence can be attained if you care more than others think
is wise, risk more than others think is safe, dream more than others
think is practical, and expect more than others think is possible.
